Website Building

CAKE - Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange

I partnered again with Blue Raster to work on Climate Adaptation Knowledge Exchange, a joint project of Island Press and EcoAdapt. Tthe whole project was a great exercise in developing a robust, content-rich site with a client that has a lot of information they needed to be accessible to the general public. And the Blue Raster folks did a great job with the mapping integration.

greg-willis.com

This is my personal blog, nothing very fancy. It's got a Gallery2 integration for handling the photos. And it's got some multimedia content inside some posts.

Lyon Village Citizens Association

The LVCA is a neighborhood civic association located in Arlington VA.

In addition to providing a central place for announcements, this website also provides the ability for the members to pay their association dues online.

Camp Chanco Alumni Association

This is a social networking website for the Camp Chanco Alumni Association (CCAA).

This is one of the site I myself actually run. It's got a store front for paying for a membership in the CCAA, a robust photo gallery powered by Gallery2, blogs for all those who sign up, and differing kinds of content to bring back the alumni memories and to bring new alumni into the organization.

Concepts Integration, Inc.

Concepts Integration, Inc. provides strategic consulting and technology solutions to government and commercial IT organizations

This is a company site that in addition to the standard information, has listings of classes.

Chanco on the James Conference Center

Chanco on the James Conference Center is located on the James River near Surry, VA. They host events such as conferences, family gatherings, and retreats.

I created the design, the Flash banner, and wrapped it all up in a custom Drupal theme. The client took it form there and built out the content.

Camp Chanco

Camp Chanco is a summer camp run by the Episcopal Diocese of Southern Virginia.

Their previous site was inconvenient for the client to expand and modify, so we did a redesign and moved it to Drupal. The client added all the content with some training from me.

I also created the Flash banner.

One Platypus Consulting

One Platypus is my wife's technical communication company.

I had a lot of fun with the logo - who doesn't like a platypus?

Otherwise a basic Drupal website with a very clear design.

Discrete Technologies, Inc.

Discrete Tech is a software development company lovated in Arlington, VA.

This project was a website redesign and a move to Drupal.

Global Technologies Group, Inc.

GTGI provides data storage, management, and security products to the U.S. federal government, state and local governments, and corporate customers in health care, financial services, insurance and banking.

This project was a redesign and a move to Drupal. The old website had an unintuitive design and could not be easily updated by the client. I simplified the layout and re-categorized the content. The client now has no need to contact (or pay) anyone outside their organization to update their website.
